Information for Applicants to the Duvall Cultural Commission
We are currently seeking new members to join this group. Anyone with a love of the arts and community are welcome to apply. The Duvall Cultural Commission seeks commissioners with interests and skills in visual art, music, public art, promotion & media, graphic art, and writing.
“The City of Duvall Cultural Commission works to preserve and expand the artistic and cultural heritage of Duvall to achieve a unique and cohesive community identity and strong economic vitality. Our activities include financial support, promotion, and assistance with events related to the arts, culture, and heritage in the greater Duvall community.”
We are a seven to nine member volunteer commission appointed by the Mayor and approved by the City Council for a three year term. Terms may be repeated. DCC is responsible for creating and producing arts and cultural events that benefit the public, managing public art, and making Community Event Grant recommendations to the City Council. DCC officers are Chairperson and Vice-chairperson and are elected internally yearly.
Meetings are held the second and fourth Thursdays from 6:30p.m.-8:30p.m. and regular attendance is expected.
Applications are open until all current positions filled. Applications will be kept on file for future reference. Non-voting committee members are also welcome to join for specific events and projects.
