Chance McKinney – country
“Whether you’re blue collar or white collar, we all work. It’s a universal thread connecting us together. It transcends cultural heritages and upbringings, and there is a respect and understanding that comes with it.”
Chance McKinney delves into our relationships to work and how we perceive the act of making a living with his most recent ‘industrialized country’ projects, I and I². As Chance describes it, “’Industrialized country’ is a country lyric and a country vocal mixed with metal guitars, pop structure and industrial layers.”
The former high school and college star athlete and scholar, and high school math teacher has been perfecting his unique musical style for the past 13 years. In 2009 his piano ballad “Be Real” won CMT’s Music City Madness competition. Since then he has toured with and shared stages alongside Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Darius Rucker, and Dwight Yoakam, has played at Watershed Music Festival, and at fairs, festivals and concert venues across the western states.
McKinney’s most recent release is an EP called I². High on ambition, McKinney always goes big — and never goes home. His latest music is a testament to his unwavering spirit, charm and impeccable talent behind a microphone. Listen to Chance McKinney here!
“Cody Beebe & The Crooks make rock music. Roots rock, if you want to be exact. It’s raw, it’s true, and every track is a slice of Americana. “Roots rock seems like the best term to encompass everything we’re doing,” says front man and guitarist Cody Beebe. The band doesn’t stop with rock; they incorporate elements of blues, jazz, country, funk and soul to helm their distinctive sound. “We make Southern rock, but we’re from the Northwest,” Beebe jokes. It’s as if Lynyrd Skynyrd and The Allman Brothers updated their vibe and sprinkled it with pieces of Big Sky Country, Puget Sound, and Evergreen forests.” Bandinseattle.com
Cody Beebe & The Crooks have toured through 30 US states and 7 European countries and have opened for notable acts all over the country, played Watershed at the Gorge three times, back Nashville recording artist Austin Jenckes, as a result of their die-hard fan base, even started their own festival, Chinookfest.
